Until recently, 1 taka correlated to 100 coins – poysha.Today, they are not used in circulation. The Bangladeshi taka appeared in 1972. Before that, the republic was in the Pakistan union and used the Pakistani rupee. While issuing commemorative banknotes devoted to the 40th anniversary of the currency, there has been made an unpleasant mistake in the name of the country.
